| Adam | April 15th, 2008 02:07 PM I got a Craftsman replacement handle for my big ball-pein hamner head. The funny thing is that most of the time, the Craftsman hammers are lifetime warranted. Hence, who needs a replacement handle, when you can get a new tool handed to you? The answer of course is either a very old hammer head that one DOESN'T want to part with, or a non-Craftsman hamner in need of a new handle. The replacement handle came with the wooden wedge and two steel wedges, that do the final securing of the hamner head in place. Took a while to grind/sand down the wedge heads and handle to the top of the hammer's eye. This particular ball-pein has no maker's mark stamped into the head, so future user's will always wonder if Craftsman had a ball-pein hamner THIS BIG. :) |
