| Adam | July 8th, 2008 11:38 PM A good set of files is a great way to get into sharpening. Unlike the power grinders, there's very little chance of "burning" the tempered steel edges. Craftsman has an interesting set up on hand files. Even though files are most definitely sharp tools that eventually will become dull, the Craftsman ones are Lifetime Warranted. Normally, these would be classified as consumeable tools. Great! Now, the sad news - made in Honduras. Although there is a leaning toward double-cut pattern files, there are enough single-cut files in the Craftsman file offerings to offer at least an introductory set of sharpening tools. The handled files (black) represent the safest, one-stop shop for a ready to go set of files. |
