If your fence is not "too far" out of square, you may wish to lap the cast iron fence flat yourself.

I do this to tune the soles of metal bench planes from time to time.

I get a large flat surface, such a a table saw's cast iron extension table or a thick sheet of glass and attach 60 grit aluminum oxide abrasive paper to it, using spray adhesive.

Once the twist is taken out of fence, it's just a matter of working down the grits, until the desired surface finish is reached.

Look!

I can see myself!

Trivia: They sell 10,000 grit wet/dry abrasive paper.
