| Adam | August 8th, 2007 11:54 PM August 8, 2007 Specialty Tools I found an interesting specialty woodworking tool site with the Lee Valley - Veritas tool line at http://www.veritastools.com/. Although few people are making things solely with hand tools anymore, the final degree of finish, fit and form is still often sought after, with the aid of some form of specialty hand tool. Veritas tools are of largely Canadian origin and often conceptually move forward from many of the traditional forms of hand tools. Precision screw feeds, advanced materials, superior cutting edges and precision ground backs and soles are just some of the new tools' features. I have a lot of old-timer tools, that I would never be without. However, these new tools are definitely worth a look at. |
