| Adam | July 23rd, 2007 11:07 PM July 23, 2007 Jobsite Dados I found an interesting tool to do, what I call Jobsite Dados. This is Carpentry level Cabinetry. But, it works. I'm testing out a Craftsman compound "sliding" Miter Saw at work. The saw has a depth of cut adjustment! This means single blade width Dados. So, I carefully mark out the cabinet side pieces and cut the outside width of the Dados and "clean-out" the in between wood with the blade. Adam is cleaning the PMT workshop of packaging material. Can anyone say "free parts cabinet"? :) The finished cabinet will be about 4 feet wide, by 5 feet tall. It will hold all of my small parts tins and hot cocoa round containers of parts. This is a valuable investment in labor, as each black fastener would cost Sears $2.91 to order as a replacement part and delay hallway returned item processing work for as much as two weeks. As for the saw, it's a great 10 inch unit, that needs a new plastic handle. |
