| Joe | July 6th, 2007 08:10 AM Ok, it actually was free off of Craig's List, but this is a 1977-1980 model 315-17480 Sears router (which OWWM has on their site)which belonged to the guy's grandfather. "Sounds like a bucket of bolts" he told me. I have it apart with an electrician friend and it just seems to need bearings. It is a USA made Ryobi sourced "315" unit, like countless Sears products were for years. Stay tuned as this Craftsman classic is bought back to life..... |
| Adam | July 7th, 2007 12:00 AM July 6, 2007 Hoover If the model you found, is similar to my old Craftsman router, the new bearings are spec'd out to "Hoover" model ball bearings. |
| Joe | July 24th, 2007 08:27 AM Yea, Hoover is owned by someone now. Yup, the original parts list showed Hoover bearing numbers. |
| Joe | September 20th, 2007 05:21 PM Two new bearings (my colleague had one brand new in the bag, I bought the other one). One Sears/Ryobi router back in business. Quiet as a churchmouse now. |
