| Adam | May 21st, 2007 03:00 PM May 21, 2007 Extra wood So, I've got all this saved up wood around the PMT workshop that the "Neat and Organized" people want to see GO AWAY. Now one way to interpret this would be "toss it". But, it's good... wood. So, I have an alternative approach, "USE IT". NOW! The question is, how. I've checked the Projects part of the new Craftsman.com site and I don't have the right type, sizes or quantity of "project wood". So, I came up with a renewal of an old idea, ratchet silhouettes! What better to display in a PMT workshop than what about 1/3 of the activity in said shop is about? Nobody say Grill silhouettes. I'm going to be seeing quite enough of said grills in the middle of the workshop VERY soon. Big deal a ratchet silhouette. No... Not A silhouette. Silhouettes! You've got your teardrops, long-levered, highly polished, flex-heads, box heads, round heads (tri-wing, fine-tooth, standards), knurled handle ratchet (no one will probably recognize this pattern). I know what you're going to say. Adam. Where are you going to get all that wood? Do you know how to move a heavy particle board Ping Pong table broken box all by itself to the crusher? Throw out the individual pieces and cut-up the two 1/2 sheets of particle board. I GOT some dark colored (Ping Pong Green, with white lines) wood in the room. And, I gotta Use it or Loose it... directly. Once it's hang'n on the wall, it should be OK to keep around for a couple a decades or so. I wonder if anyone will be able to recognize the Craftsman "Speed Ratchet" silhouette? |
