| Joe | February 28th, 2007 07:57 AM I find that I get more rainchecks at Sears than you can shake a stick at. I mean, they EVENTUALLY get it, but you wait a bit. LOL. Compare that to the Mansfield, NJ Sears hardware by my sister and I can count the times I went there and they were out of something. The nutcracker was a good example there, I went about 2 months apart, and wound up getting it at my normal store in NYC (last one too). Had a raincheck, so it was no problem. Also at the Mansfield store, they answer the phone quickly and physically check stock on a number when you call and it's there when you go. Not very busy though. The store in NYC is better with customer issues, the Mansfield store tries to be by the book and this often leads to me explaining Sears policy to them---such as the fact that if a Sears flyer comes late, they should honor it. I've NEVER gotten questioned at that in NYC, but NJ takes a little prodding to get them to comply. Not a big deal, as I am very persistent. |
