| Adam | February 20th, 2007 08:05 PM February 20, 2007 On Average On average... That's a very... interesting question. Past ratchet rebuild kits were almost a one model ratchet to one model ratchet rebuild kit relationship. The new teardrop style ratchets are designed to be rebuilt by ONE kit in each of the drive sizes. So, the 1/4 inch drive rebuild kit would rebuild two ratchets (standard & highly-polished). The 1/2 inch drive rebuild kit works with four ratchets (standard, standard-finish/flex-head, highly-polished and black-oxide). The 3/8 inch drive rebuild kit works on the whole range of Craftsman specialty teardrop ratchets (standard, standard-long, standard-finish/flex-head, highly-polished, highly-polished long, highly-polished/flex-head/bent-handle, ergonomic handle, stubby, black-oxide, and the limited edition Craftsman 75th Anniversary Golden teardrop ratchets). The ratchet kit's inventory value is one penny each. Last Physical Inventory, the PMT workshop had a little over $2 worth of store inventory to count. This year, thanks to an aggressive obsolescence program and the precarious use of Just-In-Time inventory control methods there will be less than 50 cents of inventory in the room. Blanks don't "count". |
