April 15, 2006 Display Repair

The "Trash Compactor and Garbage Disposal" display is on the floor.

And, if I do say so myself, it looks marvelous.

The repaired side of the display is not actually showing.

But, the mended edges don't look like anything had ever gone awry with them.

One final benefit of the ratchet clamps is that the yellow plastic, covering the metal clamp jaws is impervious to Carpenters' glue, allowing me to put pressure right up to the glue lines, without fear of having a clamp glued down.

I don't know how long the ratchet clamps will last.

But, I do know the structural parts of the clamps are made of metal.

Metal!

They're almost a collector's item from the get-go.
