DonV mobile base caster woes

I love the Sears universial mobile base #922303000 for the ease of setup and well made construction...it is after all a Jet mobile base re flagged. But the locking swivel casters only lock the rolling but not the swivel action. This was noted on a wood working review. Rockler 58866 caster set looks like it could fit since the wheels are 2 1/4 inch diameter. anyone else try to switch these out or want to slip the set of 4 casters? (since Rockler won't split the order)

It is a nice transport system.

Beware the weight limitation though.

It will not perform well with the top Professional version hybrid table saw (something like 439 lbs.).

This thing "splayed" the wheels of one of my former Sears store's merchandise platform's!

Those things routinely transport piles of tools, for stocking, almost as tall as I am (5'-9").

There are heavier duty / more expensive units with greater weight capacity, sold outside of Sears.

But, the Sears mobile base will easily move just about any other tool sold in the store that has a base between 12 to 52 inches.
