| Adam | October 31st, 2005 02:13 PM There's a product on the market, that may give you an increase in collection capacity, without immediately investing in a larger (noisier) unit. Cyclone collector lids allow you to place an intermediate collector container between your collector and its normal intake hose. You buy a lid (either 2-1/2 inch or standard 4 inch) that is placed upon a container you supply. The best news is that this accessory is aimed at separating out the heavier "chips" and leaves the fine sawdust for your main machine. You can empty the container of planer chips over and over without "playing" with your collector's bag. The accessory is pretty common (not through Sears though). My local Post (Western) Tool outlet carries both. Happy planing! |
