| TONY T | October 8th, 2005 06:03 PM I have a CRAFTSMAN model 183.172520 kit. 1/8 bit by roto zip will cut into wall tile but it will not cut floor tile. Do they have a bit that will work on floor tile? |
| Adam | October 8th, 2005 10:05 PM The little 1/8 inch shank carbide roto-zip cutter is not robust enough for floor tile. Try using the 1/4 inch shank Roto-zip brand Carbide cutter, that should be found with the other Roto-Zip display items at Sears. Be sure to make allowances for the much larger 1/4 inch kerf this cutter leaves behind. |
| Adam | October 8th, 2005 10:09 PM I almost forgot. There is a carbide Hack saw blade you can purchase that will work on floor tile. Obviously the hand approach will take a little longer. But, you have a choice of a straight hacksaw-like carbide grit blade or a round one for things like toilet flange openings. |
