| PM2790 | December 13th, 2005 12:37 PM Use a backing piece when cutting small pieces on a power miter saw. Typically, I will fab a bed and fence out of Masonite or MDF that is sized to my workpiece (thickness and width). Another tip that helps: Use masking tape along the cut area (all sides), and adjust the depth of cut to leave the tape on the bed uncut. This will keep the piece from flying around. |
