| Woodworking Man | June 27th, 1999 03:20 PM I have both. I use the radial arm saw for most of my projects because you can cross cut any length of material by your self. And it works great for cutting angles and also for bevel cutting If you have ever tried to cut a 8 foot board on an table saw you know that you don't get a straight true cut. The table saw is a lot better to rip on but you can do it on the radial arm saw just a easy (with two people that is). My advice to you is to buy a good radial arm saw and then in a few years get a bench top table saw for aroun 150.00 to 200.00 because you don't want to spend to much because you spent 700.00 on a radial arm saw. I hope you will take my advice and think about your problem very carefully because which saw you buy depends on what kind of work you will be using it for.
