| Rob | December 31st, 1969 06:59 PM I've been asking the same question, and I've been asking professionals. What I've come to learn is that radial arm saws are one of the most dangerous power tools you can own. Since radial arms move in all three dimensions, they are more likely to get out of alignment once they have been moved. They are not very accurate if you are making furniture or something where precise cutting is required. I also heard from people that like raidal arm saws, but the conclusion I've come to is this. Buy a table saw with a good fence system before you buy a radial arm and if you can afford both, then it's nice to have both. I personally do not plan to ever buy one. |
