Well,

The Sears saws are made by Ryobi, Orion/Tradesman (what Lowes sells), or Rexon.

You can tell because the product model # will be:

152 prefix if it's Orion (which is made up of rogue Delta employees that started their own company)

137 if it's Rexon, which is a UK based company,

315 if it's a Ryobi. I have several Craftsman branded 315 prefix tools and they are a great value for the money. Mine are older USA made units.

Bad news is all are made in China (as are some of the other brands you mentioned) which to me means poor quality out of the box. An older unit from any of those companies would be made in the USA, and as you'll hear from many on this board, are the preference amongst patriots and tool lovers here alike.

I'm sure you can get a good setup to accomodate your needs for your workshop. Is there a way the chair can be raised to the saw workheight? Possibly a ramp or a platform that will allow you to work at a comfortable (and safe) height?
