| Randal | May 5th, 2005 10:51 AM Adam, yes the wood ones at least have a top. The metal base cabinets I have are going to have some version of a top made, so I can screw a top on to several of them as part of my miter saw and radial arm saw stations. Joe, Argh! I've been keeping my eyes open for a good used made in the USA vise. My old one was too small (3 inch vise) and my brother was in bad need of one. Instead of buying the Craftsman overseas one, I bought one at HF with a gift certificate I hadn't used (hear that, free). If I am going to get overseas, I might as well go for the cheapest. But I am and have been keeping my eye out for some old vises at garage/estate sales. I want/need at least a five inch and I would like a post vise. If I decide to buy new, I have a tool store that I may go to, as they have old stock and stock from out of business companies, and last time I was there I thought I saw a 10" vise. |
