| Adam | May 4th, 2005 05:20 PM I'm using kitchen cabinets to hold some of my library. They look a whole lot nicer than the other open shelves and there is no chance of a dump of books off the end of the open shelves. But, I never realized the top of the cabinets is only 3/8 inch particale board (as the making assumes nothing being ever placed on top). You guys might want to take a look at your cabinets for deflection. I've got to unload all of the books and glue and pneumatic nail a piece of real plywood on the top of my cabinets. Plus, I do have more work surfaces. But, I generally on refer to my main work surface as MY workbench. The other ones weren't built up over time. I either bought'm or built'm once. |
