Pete Sears response
January 19th, 2005 08:21 AM
I asked: I am trying to find accessories or at least the bar that fit into the 137248830 table saw. This is the one with the unusual 5/8" t-slot. Do you sell the bar and I need one around 20-24 inches long to do some jigs? The table has a t-slot miter gauge that uses a 5/8" T-Bar as its base. This is an unusual size for a miter gauge. They are usually 3/4"X3/8" and not 5/8"X3/8". I am looking to make a crosscut table and need spare bars that would fit in the miter slot. Hope that helps.

Sears response: We unfortunately, do not carry a bar with those dimensions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

I now decided that either the t-bar nubs need to go (grind them down) or I am going to make a jig that hugs the table and rides the extension rails. This would allow me to make a cross cut table that slides either along or in a slot on that jig. So I need to make a jig to use a jig...go figure.
