| Pete | January 13th, 2005 04:11 PM Does anyone know where T-bars for the 24883 TS can be purchased. I like everyone here cannot find any accessories that fit the 5/8 T-slot but heard that someone sells the T-bars with which to make jigs. Had an $600 model 10-years ago with full 3/4 slots. Had to sell the table (financial issue) but still have some accessories that can be used if I can find the T-bars. Your help is appreciated. If not, might just have to do a "money back guarantee" (only had it for 3 weeks and used it 2 times). Thanks again, Pete |
| Joe | January 13th, 2005 04:20 PM Please post the complete model # of the saw and I'll tell you who made it and who to contact for parts. The model # is in the form of 123.45678 |

| Joe | January 14th, 2005 07:51 AM The tool is made by Rexon Tools. You should be able to find them by doing a google.com search. Contact them and ask if they make your accessory. First step. |
| Pete | January 14th, 2005 10:24 AM I tried to find this using google and all I am coming up with is Rexon in UK and all dimensions are in mm. I think this table saw is going to go back. |
| Joe | January 14th, 2005 12:50 PM I believe it's the same parent company, even though the new ones are made in China. Why not call Sears Technical and ask? |
| Pete | January 18th, 2005 10:14 AM I decided to keep the table and will probably just cut down some 5/8" hardwood stock to fit the slot. The price of the table overcomes the fact that the slots are the wrong size. And I thought standardization was becoming the norm. Now what is the number for Sears Technical? And thanks for your help. | Joe | January 18th, 2005 12:51 PM You can send them an e-mail, although I did get wrong information from them on a vise I bought (another story, another post). |
| Pete | January 19th, 2005 08:21 AM I asked: I am trying to find accessories or at least the bar that fit into the 137248830 table saw. This is the one with the unusual 5/8" t-slot. Do you sell the bar and I need one around 20-24 inches long to do some jigs? The table has a t-slot miter gauge that uses a 5/8" T-Bar as its base. This is an unusual size for a miter gauge. They are usually 3/4"X3/8" and not 5/8"X3/8". I am looking to make a crosscut table and need spare bars that would fit in the miter slot. Hope that helps. Sears response: We unfortunately, do not carry a bar with those dimensions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. I now decided that either the t-bar nubs need to go (grind them down) or I am going to make a jig that hugs the table and rides the extension rails. This would allow me to make a cross cut table that slides either along or in a slot on that jig. So I need to make a jig to use a jig...go figure. |
