The adapter plates that come with the Sears equipment is usually designed for Sears Routers and very few others (Some of the Skil Routers will work on it). Fortunately, you can purchase a 'blank' adapter plate from Sears for about $25-30 ( I needed to do that to mount a Bosch Router to the Craftsman Router table).

I have the same saw. In addition to no higher quality/ more accurate Miters available, there are also no higher quality/ more accurate fences available. Also, there are no side extensions available (even though there are what appear to be mounting holes in the side of the top).

If you've just bought it, you might want to seriously consider the advice above....take it back and get one that has more accessories for it.
