| Nitecrawler | October 16th, 1999 11:15 PM To make a tack cloth, DAMPEN (do NOT soak) a lint free cloth with mineral spirits, add a few drops of varnish to the center area of the cloth and wring it out well to distribute the varnish through out. The tack cloth should feel slightly sticky, not wet when finished. Remember, you only want it to pick up dust and fine particles and not leave any kind of chemical residue behind as it could spoil the finish that you are about to apply. Store the cloth in an air tight container when not in use to help keep it from drying out. |
