| Adam | July 29th, 2008 03:43 AM They've got a new type (old pattern) of hamner, in the new Craftsman catalog. Ya know that hammer head "adze eye", used to secure high 90's percent of hammer heads to handles? Well, that's old stuff to this NEW hammer. Vaughan has done gone and done built a 3-piece hammer. Seriously, THREE PIECES. Ya got the hammer'n side, attached to one side of a hickory handle, via an anti-vibration pad. And, then ya got the straight claw nail pull'n side, done attached to the other side of the handle. Being U.S. of A. made and costing only $37.99, makes this 38065 hammer worth look'n into buy'n, even if you already have a hamner. And, this design of hammer looks like it pre-dates the Estwing "strap-secured" style "Weight-Forward" line of hamners. I hope it makes it into the stores. |
