| Ray | May 12th, 2007 09:08 PM pick up a 10 piece set of the old style quick wrenches (ratcheting action) at a swap meet. I like to complete the set with the 10 pc metric size. anyone have them or could direct me to a source.........greatly appreciated. |
| Adam | May 14th, 2007 02:52 AM May 13, 2007 Quick-style Wrenches I found a source that sells metric sized wrenches. But, you are probably not going to like the prices. Craftsman's OEM wrench producer, Danaher, markets their Armstrong Industrial Hand Tool line of Mechanics' tools, including metric Quick-style Wrenches. They can be reached at 1(800)866-5753 or www.armstrongtools.com, to find the dealer closest to you. |
| Joe | May 14th, 2007 08:32 AM I think I have them as well....waiting to find the fill ins.... |
| Adam | May 14th, 2007 06:19 PM May 14, 2007 Extreme Grips You may want to take a look at the new Craftsman "Extreme-Grip" pattern wrenches. They are more like double-ended open end wrenches, than the Quick wrenches combination pattern. But, they ratchet nicely. You can even get a new pattern of Extreme Grip wrenches WITH true box end ratcheting mechanisms. Available in metric and S.A.E.. |
| Joe | May 15th, 2007 07:43 AM Adam: Nah...likely another fad to fade away. The old tried and true wrenches are the way to go. The quick wrenches met this same death. |
