| Adam | November 9th, 2005 11:08 AM November 9, 2005 Router bit Sharpener I've got two pages of instructions for the router bit sharpening device in my old Craftsman "Power Tool Know How - Power Router" old orange vinyl manual. If you'd like to e-mail your fax number to me I'll send them. Or, I could transcribe the text alone. The grinding point is a 1/4 inch diameter shafted "cup-point" wheel. Any dealer for Norton Abrasives products should be able to obtain one for you. The green - Silicon Carbide wheel is most useful for carbide bits. While a grey, white, or pink Aluminum Oxide wheel performs best of the steel-edged bits. Be sure to get a true die grinding wheel (around 30,000 rpm). Those little loose in a box grinding points in the hardware stores are meant for drills (3500 rpm max). Craftsman does sell a selection of grinding points in a bag, by the pneumatic tools (pneumatic die grinder). Let me know (post or email). |
