| Adam | May 26th, 2005 01:18 PM May 26, 2005 Wrench conversions I just got my 1949 Craftsman mechanicsâ tools catalog from eBay and low & behold on the next to last page is the HANDY TABLES AND CHARTS page with some very handy tables. The tables include; DECIMAL EQUIVALENT CHART, TAP DRILL SIZES, SPARK PLUG WRENCH SIZES, AMERICAN NATIONAL PIPE THREADS and.... Wrench Size to S.A.E. Fastener conversion chart Wrench Size S.A.E. Nuts & Bolts 7/16 1/4 1/2 5/16 9/16 3/8 5/8 7/16 3/4 1/2 7/8 9/16 15/16 5/8 1 11/16 1-1/16 3/4 1-3/16 13/16 1-1/4 7/8 1-7/16 1* 1-5/8 1-1/8 * My 1x8 jamb nut uses a 1-1/2 inch wrench. Maybe jamb nuts (thinner) require the next wrench size up? Enjoy the table. Iâll be posting about the really... old Craftsman hand tool stuff grandpa used to be able to purchase shortly. |
