CT Guy Looking for rare Craftsman tool (Center 3/8 drive spinner ratchet with handle)

I have seen these on Ebay only once in a while. They do catch a good price.

These babies are rare and people who have them say they love them. Guess it was easy to work on heads, rocker arms and so forth. Heard they were made in the 50's and 60's.

Check out the photo.

Anyone seen this and/or know what their proper name was?

The wrench was called a New! Craftsman Speeder Ratchet in the 1960 Craftsman Hand Tools catalog.

Its model number 4408.

One just sold on eBay for around $100.

But, that's the irony of being a Craftsman tool enthusiast and a Sears retail employee.

You want the stuff. But, you often don't have the MONEY.
