| Max | February 22nd, 2006 12:32 PM I did some research here at work. They have a few of those boxes and a whole lot of equiment that is painted the same color. It's a federally funded R&D orginization that was started in 1951. From what I can tell, they used to call it Battleship Grey. Krylon now refers to it as Machinery Grey. The only difference is that it doesn't really have the sort of spotty, uneveness to it if you know what I mean. I think one could simply put the paint on a little thick to get that look. Does anyone know what the part number would be for the clips that go on the drawer slides to keep the drawers from coming out? I'm missing 5 of them. I tried going to Sears, going on line, and calling the 800 number. No one at Sears seams to be able or willing to help me. I know it was a very common item at one time and there must be some for sale somewhere. I'm not sure if Waterloo was the MFR in the mid to late 60's. If so, they may be able to help. |
| Max | February 22nd, 2006 12:49 PM UPDATE: I just answered my own question. The clips are available through Waterloo and they are a whopping $1.09 each. I needed 5 but I ordered 12 so I can have extras. Part number M3163. |
