Adam Wanting Old Rebuild Kits
June 30th, 2008 02:29 AM
I got this great idea for rebuilding old returned Craftsman ratchets.

I'm going to propose that any PMT's, in my area, that have old rebuild kits they don't want to see get tossed, donate them to me to rebuild my stock of old Craftsman ratchet blanks.

If the "Golden Ratchet" competition is a point-of-contention, I'll trade one rebuildable ratchet blank, for an appropriate rebuild kit the other PMT has.

That way "we're even" in the competition and TWO Customers get even exchanges for their old Craftsman ratchets.

As it stands, every 1/2 inch drive long-levered ratchet returned to my assigned store depletes the avaible supply of rebuilt 1/2 inch drive teardrop ratchets by ONE (no more 1/2 inch drive long-lever kits in the store or orderable through Sears).

Of particular value, would be the two or three generation kits.

They'd be tossed as "obsolete" inventory almost automatically.

That there's NOT obsolete.

If anything its got more parts than most rebuild operations NEED!

Another reason I save parts - some are brand new.
