Wanting Craftsman Ratchet History January 31st, 2008 02:37 AM I am wanting a Craftsman ratchet history resource - with pictures.
I've got a Stanley Plane reference book that is fantastic.
Has the names, descriptions, catalog excerpts and manufacturing date ranges, along with changes to each tool through their production lifetimes.
Once Dave gets all the disks done (assuming there is support for all of his marvelous efforts), perhaps the raw informational resource will be available?
Dave also has a display case full of virtually ALL the Craftsman ratchets!
Lucky guy...
I gotta get a display case.
But, the dogs would probably try to "eat" it.
They've mellowed over the years.
Toys used to last less than 30 minutes with them.
I wonder if SHC would sponsor a virtual website of Craftsman tools (including ratchets)?
Maybe they could get some crazy ratchet-rebuilding PMT to maintain it?
What with all the photos that could be submitted by loyal Craftsman Customers/collectors. |

History February 1st, 2008 12:44 PM I thought labs aren't supposed to ruin/chew things like that :). I thought that's the idea, they do not damage the fowl when they retrieve them (due to the way their jaws and teeth are).
Most labs are really docile and easy going dogs... |

Bored February 1st, 2008 10:15 PM They get bored.
Then they get competitive.
Then they pull keep away or tug-of-war.
When they get out of the house or their yard, they don't stay close to home.
One animal acts as a safety point for the other, as they run far-ther from home.
The only way to corral them is with the promise of a "ride" (home) or food.
Yes. They've been to obedience school (twice).
As for not harming things...
the stuffed bird toys are doing fine, since XMAS.
Both of them attacked the Bocce ball though.
I didn't think the female (smaller) could get that thing in her mouth.
Part Boa, I guess. |

Labs February 2nd, 2008 08:56 PM My neighbor had a lab, a female. It was a HUGE (read, overfed) dog. It was a very, very, very friendly and docile pet.
It just liked to be pet and have some attention paid to it.
Always a dog with a happy disposition. |

Huge February 2nd, 2008 10:39 PM These brother and sister Labs get fed a Diabetics largely protein food diet.
They are pretty big animals.
But, you can see their muscles flex when they move.
Ironically, I'm allergic to their fur, and they're allergic to some of my food. |

Dog February 3rd, 2008 06:24 PM My neighbor has a Shistzu (spelled wrong on purpose so it doesn't get crossed out) puppy that's about a 1 1/2 old.
He is like a coil spring. Very energetic and loves to play. He runs around like crazy on the lawn and comes running up to you.
He wags his tail and lets you pet him though, he loves attention.
I try to go over his way when I see him out. Nice little chap. |
