Craftsman Drill Battery Compatibility October 15th, 2005 05:57 PM I have a 12volt Industrial Craftsman drill with one good battery. My second battery died. The battery I have is 315.111010. I found another battery at a flea market that is for a 12volt industrial craftsman drill. It looks identical but the model number on the battery is different. It is model number 974778-002. I didn't buy it yet because I didn't know whether it would work with my drill. Does anyone know if you have to have the exact same model number battery to work? Or as long as it is the same volt and has the same connection and contacts will it work?
Thanks,
Gary

Battery compatibility October 15th, 2005 06:31 PM Look up your drill on the Parts Direct site, using the long (315.xxxxxx) model number. The supported batteries will be listed.

Not to worry you, but a customer once came in with two batteries, from two different drill sets. One had white lettering. The other one had gold lettering. Same voltage. Same number of and pin locations.

They both didn't work in the charger.

Let the database be your guide.
